Uganda ready to host successful CECAFA tournaments in December

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has made it clear that they are prepared to host both the Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup and the Cecafa U-17 Women’s Challenge Cup.
Justus Mugisha, the Acting President of the Uganda FA said on Tuesday in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania that they are ready to host two successful tournaments.
“We hosted a good U-20 tournament over a month ago and we are putting all the logistics in place to have two successful season ender tournaments,” added Mugisha.
The Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup which will attract 12 teams including Eritrea and guest side the Democratic Republic of Congo will run December 7-19th in the capital Kampala. The Cecafa U-17 Women’s Challenge Cup will take place December 9-18th in Njeru.
“We are looking forward to hosting all the teams in Uganda. Just prepare your teams well,” added Mugisha.
For the Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup Eritrea is placed alongside Uganda, Burundi and Ethiopia in Group A. In the Cecafa U-17 Women’s Challenge Cup Eritrea will battle Uganda, Ethiopia and South Sudan in Group A.
