Tanzania eliminates Eritrea in FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup 2022 qualifiers

Eritrea’s U-20 team are out of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup 2022 qualifiers.
The team lost 2-0 away to Tanzania yesterday in a match played at the Azam Complex in Dar es Salaam.
Elias Kisisa and Protasia Mbunda scored the second half goals to send Tanzania to the third round on a 5-0 goal aggregate.
Eritrea ejected Djibouti in the preliminary round.
The other teams from the CECAF region that qualifiers for the third round of the qualifiers include; Uganda, Burundi and Ethiopia.
Burundi ejected Namibia 5-0 on goal aggregate, while Uganda saw off Kenya 10-3 on aggregate. Ethiopia stopped Rwanda by the score 4-0 in away and home legs.
After the third round eight teams will qualify for the fourth round before they eventually make it to the last round where the best two teams will qualify for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup to be hosted by Costa Rica.
