Eritrea’s Teklu to handle TotalEnergies CAF Confederations tie in Alexandria

Eritrean referee Tsegay Mogos Mogos Teklu will be in-charge of the return leg of the second preliminary round of the 2021/2022 TotalEnergies CAF Confederations Cup between Egypt’s Al Masry SC and URA FC (Uganda).

The match will take place at the Alexandria Stadium in Egypt on Saturday. The first leg played at the St. Marys Stadium, Kitende in Uganda ended goalless.

According to the appointment by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) the two second assistants from Eritrea Eyobel Michael and Youannes Tewelde Ghebreslase will also be in-charge of the match, while Yonas Zekarias Ghebre will be the fourth official.

Sudan’s Amir Osman Mohammed Hamid will be the match commissioner, while Mohamed Sultan (Egypt) is appointed as the COVID-19 officer.

The teams from the Council of east and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA) zone still in contention for a place in the next round of the Confederation Cup include; Azam FC, Biashara United Mara (Tanzania), Gor Mahia FC (Kenya) and Rwanda’s AS Kigali.
