FIFA World Cup 2022: Eritrea prepare to host Namibia

The Eritrean national football team is under going preparations ahead of their FIFA World Cup 2022 qualifying tie against Namibia.
Eritrea will host the Brave Warriors of Namibia on September 4th at the Asmara National Stadium before the return leg in Namibia on September 10th.
“Our team is currently training ahead of the game. We are doing everything possible top facilitate the game because it will be very important to win at home,” said the President of the Eritrean National Football Federation (ENFF) Esayas Abraham.
Eritrea’s team is handled by Efrem Alemseghed. Swedish based Henok Giotom is expected to beef-up the team.
The 28 teams will battle in the preliminary stage of the qualifiers before the 14 preliminary round winners and the 26 countries who received byes are split into 10 groups of four after a fresh draw with the first matches next March.
Matches of the group stages are expected to run from 23 until 31 March 2020 and 04 to 12 October 2020.
The winners from the 10 groups will then engage in five two-leg playoffs, with the winners qualifying for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
