Eritrea’s Teklu appointed for U-17 AFCON

Eritrea’s Tsegay Mogas Teklu is among the 36 match officials appointed to take charge of games during the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The Championship to feature 12 teams will take place March 14-31st in Morocco.

Teklu is among the 18 centre referees announced by the Confederation of African Football (CAF). The Council of East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA) has three centre referees appointed and three assistant referees.

The three female officials appointed by CAF for the U-17 Afcon include; centre referee Bouchra Karboubi from Morocco and two assistants Fatiha Jermoumi and Fanta Idrisa Kone from Morocco and Mali respectively.
