Eritrea defeat Djibouti 3-1 in 2022 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers

It’s advantage for Eritrea after picking a 3-1 win against Djibouti in the 1st leg first round of the 2022 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifier on Sunday.
The match played at the Abebe Bikila Stadium saw Eritrea go into the break with a 2-0 lead after Delina Sahle and Rahwa Bega had scored.
In the second half Lerman Sikieh pulled one back for Djibouti after 63 minutes, but Delina Sahle picked her second on the day to make it 3-1 for Eritrea.
The second leg will be played tomorrow at the same venue with the winner over two legs qualifying to face Tanzania in the second round.
The other teams from the CECAFA region that entered and were drawn in the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers include; South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Burundi and Ethiopia.
Africa will be represented by two teams at tge 2022 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup to take place in Costa Rica.
