CAF President Dr. Motsepe advises CECAFA members during Assembly

The President of the Eritrean National Football Federation (ENFF) attended the Council of East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA) Extra Ordinary Assembly that took place in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania last Saturday.

Abraham Esayas who is also a board member of CECAFA attended the Assembly held at Golden Tulip Hotel and graced by the CAF President, Dr. Patrice Motsepe.

Dr. Motsepe called for more cooperation between Member Association saying this will create a stronger CAF.

He also encouraged Member Associations to build capacity and create compelling brands to be able to attract partners. “As Africa, we must run our football affairs with dignity,” added Dr. Motsepe.

He promised cooperation with CECAFA and asked the body to table their key issues they want addressed by CAF.

The Assembly chaired by the CECAFA and Tanzania Football Federation (TFF), Wallace Karia was also attended by CAF Secretary General, Véron Mosengo-Omba.

Suleiman Waberi, the 3rd Vice President of CAF and President of the Djibouti Football Federation (DFF) and CAF Executive members Moses Hassim Magogo (President of the Federation of the Uganda Football Associations) and Abdiqani Said Arab (President of the Somali Football Federation) also attended the Assembly.

All Member Associations in the region; Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, Sudan, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Djibouti, Somalia and Zanzibar were represented.
