Striker Ali Suleiman Ibrahim signs for Ethiopian side Bahir Dar Kenema FC
Eritrea’s national team player Ali Suleiman Ibrahim has signed a two year contract with Ethiopian Premier League side, Bahir Dar Kenema FC.
The striker was spotted at the on-going regional CECAFA U-23 Challenge Cup in the Ethiopian town of Bahir Dar.
Suleiman Ibrahim currently leads the scorers chart at the tournament with four goals after his hat-trick in the 3-3 draw against Ethiopia in the group stage and another goal in the 1-1 draw against the same side in a classification match that Eritrea eventually won 3-2 on penalties.
“I am very happy to sign a professional contract in Ethiopia. I will work hard to help my team perform well,” said the striker.
Ali Suleiman Ibrahim becomes the third Eritrean player to sign for an Ethiopian club after Alexander Samyoma and Robel Teclemichael.
