Eritrea’s Esayas to grace Total African Nations Championship in Cameroon

President of the Eritrea National Football Federation (ENFF), Esayas Abraham Weldeyesus will be one of the officials at the 6th Edition of the Total African Nations Championship (CHAN).
The tournament meant for players featuring in their domestic Leagues will run January 16th to February 7th in three different Cameroonian cities Yaoundé, Douala and Limbe.
Esayas who is also a board member of the Council of East and Central Africa Football Associations (Cecafa) is among the CHAN Organising Committee members.
The other members from the Cecafa region in the committee that ensures the smooth running of the Championship includes; Haruna Moses Mawanda (Uganda), Mohamed Yassin Yonis (Djibouti), Isayas Jira Bosho (Ethiopia), Hassan Bargo (Sudan), Francis Amin Michael Paul (South Sudan), Hassan Mohamed Mahmoud (Somalia) and Rwanda’s FA President Jean Damascene Sekamana.
Hosts Cameroon will face Zimbabwe in the official opening match on January 16, 2021 at the Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo in Yaounde city.
Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda qualified to represent the Cecafa region at the CHAN tournament.
