Eritrea has remained static in the latest FIFA rankings released on September 17^th.

Although Eritrea improved in the December 2019 rankings after finishing second in the Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup, they remained in 205^th place.

In the African continent Eritrea remained in 54^th place, while Senegal who are best placed in Africa are 20^th in the world.

Most of the teams around the world have not been active for nearly six months due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Uganda who are ranked 77^th in the latest FIFA tanking remain the best ranked team in the Council of East and Central African Football Associations (Cecafa).

Eritrea hope to improve their ranking when the 2020 Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup takes place later this year. Belgium with 1773 points maintained their top spot, while France and Brazil are second and third respectively.

The next FIFA World Ranking will be published on October 22.
