Skipper Tekle vows Eritrea ready to stop Sudan in Cecafa U-20 Challenge Cup play-off

Skipper of Eritrea’s team Robel Michael Tekle has vowed that they are well prepared to put their troubles behind and defeat Sudan in Cecafa U-20 Challenge Cup play-off on Saturday.
Eritrea will battle Sudan in the first game at the Fufa Technical center, while Kenya’s Rising Stars face Tanzania in the final later.
Tekle made it clear that although some of their players left the Hotel, the team has overcome thjat setback and are now determined to play their hearts out to win bronze.
“All the players have vowed to player their hearts out to get a good result,” added the captain.
Head coach Haile Efrem Alemseghed also made it clear that the team is now focused to go out and get a win against Sudan. “We drew with Sudan 3-3 in the group stage and know what to do now,” added the coach.
The head coach of Sudan U20 national team Mohamed Mousa has echoed that they are focused towards finishing as the third best country at the 2019 U20 CECAFA Challenge cup tournament in Uganda.
But Sudan’s coach Mohammed Mousa said his team is also focused to win the game and take something home.
“We have a good strategy that will break the Eritrean team,” added Mousa.
While Eritrea will miss the services of Yosief Mewael Tesfai (six goals) who was among the players who disappeared, Ali Suleiman Ibrahim with four goals and skipper Tekle are expected to lead the team.
Sudan will look to Mohamad Abbas Namir (four goals), Musab Kurdman Elsiddiq and Amar Yaser Aboalqaseem among others.
