CECAFA U-20 CHALLENGE CUP: We shall not underrate Djibouti – Coach Alemseged

Eritrea will face Djibouti in a crucial Group A match this afternoon at the Pece War Memorial Stadium in Gulu at the on-going Cecafa U-20 Challenge Cup.
But Eritrea’s coach Efem Alemseged has said they will not underrate the Djibouti team because they are determined to make it to the knock out stage.
“We are aware only a draw is enough for us, but we are going all out to try and get a comfortable win,” said the coach.
Table leaders Sudan and Uganda who face-off also today have already qualified for the quarter finals and one more team must book the remaining slot.
Sudan and Uganda have 4 points each, while Eritrea have two points after a 1-1 draw against the hosts in the opening game and a 3-all draw against Sudan.
Eritrea will look to Mewael Tesfai Yosief who already has two goals in the tournament to produce some magic against a Djibouti team that has already conceded nine goals and scored one.
On Tuesday Zanzibar picked a 2-1 win over Ethiopia, while Tanzania and Kenya settled for a 2-2 draw in Group B matches played at the Fufa Technical Center, Njeru.
The five teams that have already qualified for the knock out stage include; Sudan, Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya and Burundi. The quarter finals will be played on September 29th.
Eleven teams are taking part in the regional tournament supported by FIFA.
