Cecafa U-15 Challenge Cup: Do-or-die for Eritrea against Kenya

Hosts Eritrea will be all out to try and win against Kenya on Thursday in a Group A match at the on-going Cecafa U-15 Challenge Cup.
Fresh from a big 6-0 win over Sudan in their previous match, Eritrea will hope that the home fans can motivate them to collect maximum points.
Mekonen Zewde, the Eritrean coach made it clear that the game against Kenya will be very tough because Kenya lead the table and they are a very physical side.
“We have watched them play three games now and know their kind of approach. We must be very careful with their quick counter attacks, but my boys must also be sharp at goal,” added Zewde.
Eritrea’s gifted Temesgen Tesfay together with Ahmad Awad who netted three goals against Sudan will be expected to play pivotal roles against Kenya. Eritrea opened their campaign with a 2-1 loss to Burundi.
But the Kenyan coach Sagar Lakhani whose team is unbeaten after three games has made it clear facing the home side will be a tough contest. “It is always tough playing a home team because of the support. But I have told my players to be calm and play according to plan,” added Lakhani.
The earlier match will see Somalia face Sudan. The tournament supported by FIFA will climax with the finals on August 30th.
