Infantino, Ahmad invited to grace Cecafa U-15 Challenge Cup

Eritrean National Football Federation (ENFF) has invited FIFA President Gianni Infantino and CAF boss Ahmad Ahmad to grace the Cecafa U-15 Challenge Cup.

The tournament, the first of it’s kind in Africa started on Friday and ends August 30th at the Asmara National Stadium.

Esayas Abraham, President of the ENFF said on Friday that they have officially invited the FIFA and CAF Presidents. “We want the two Presidents to come and see our youngsters in action. These are the stars of tomorrow from the Cecafa region,” added the ENFF President.

Apart from Djibouti that withdrew early this week and Zanzibar that are not talking part, all the other 10 members of the Council of East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA) are taking part.

“This is a good platform for the youngsters to showcase their talents as they gain more international exposure. This is a great opportunity for the young players in the region to learn and develop into better players in the future,” said Petra Doris, head of organizing Committee.

The Cecafa U-15 Challenge Cup is financially supported by FIFA through the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

B: Uganda, Rwanda, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Tanzania
